Outreach and social engagement refers to the ways in which universities enter into direct contact with society, in addition to the traditional areas of teaching (based on contact with students) and research (where universities mainly engage with scientific communities).
The Department of Linguistic and Literary Studies (DiSLL) plays a major role in the city of Padova, promoting opportunities for the university and society to come into contact. DiSLL organises a number of cultural initiatives, such as the screening of films and documentaries, concerts and talks on various aspects of culture, working together with local institutions and associations.
